Chair: John Lombard
Co-chair: Jonathan Corcoran

Description:
Applied geography can be considered as "the use of geographic content, principles, and methods in research and other activities designed to aid in the resolution of human problems with a strong geographic dimension.” (Boehm & Harrison, 1989).

It is the tradition of the Applied Geography Commission to welcome submissions of geographic insights in the broad area of applied spatial analysis and planning across disciplines. Topical themes include Market Geographies, Transportation, Tourism, and Community Spaces; and Cities and Planning.
